A tip by a talk-radio listener brought the Secret Service to a Boulder high school to investigate an alleged threat to assassinate the President. That’s a serious charge. What did they find? A band rehearsing the Bob Dylan song, Masters of War, which includes the lyric:

And I hope that you die And your death’ll come soon I will follow your casket In the pale afternoon And I’ll watch while you’re lowered Down to your deathbed And I’ll stand o’er your grave ‘Til I’m sure that you’re dead

We all know to be careful what we say while waiting in line at the airport screening station. Is it now time to be careful what we say at lunch, at the gym, at the hair salon, or in the theater? If one tipster repeating second-hand gossip can bring out the Feds, then Bob Dylan was right, “the times, they are a’ changing.”
