With a name like Sci-Fi Uterus, you’d understandably expect something different from this Denver-based band. (Oops, sorry. They clearly state on their web site that they are “not a band.” They prefer “survivors.”) Their latest album, 2003’s “Songs to Lynch,” is an ode to the films of David Lynch, and it’s appropriately dark and otherworldly. Their brand of gothy synth pop harkens back to heyday of new wave in the 80’s, and the members even sport the ever stylish black-hair-and-eyeliner look. If you’re ready to embark on this trip with the Sci-Fi Uteri, head to the Bug Theater this Saturday night.
