At a media event Thursday, Kenyon Martin and Andre Miller of the Denver Nuggets cast the first ballots in voting for the NBA All-Star Game. But as Rocky Mountain News writer Chris Tomasson points out, they’re not allowed to vote.
In the fine print on my All-Star ballot, it tells me that employees of the NBA and its member teams are “ineligible to vote.” And here’s where the hammer really comes down: Dance team members, ball kids and even members of their family also are barred. The NBA All-Star Game will be played Feb. 20 at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
