As we reported previously, former Denver mayor Wellington Webb is actively lobbying for the chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee. The Associated Press now reports that Webb has sent videos to state party chairmen promoting his interest in the job.

Webb, who was elected to three terms as Denver mayor beginning in 1991, and was mentioned as a contender for the DNC post by the Rev. Al Sharpton on Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” is said to be disliked by some in organized labor because of clashes with unions when he was in office.

Democrats will vote in February to replace outgoing chairman Terry McAuliffe.
