From Sunday’s Denver Post article on the increase in prostitution during the Stock Show, comes this bit of marketing wisdom for gals hoping to make a buck in the Mile-High City:

It’s an event that women like “Raven” rely on. Her ad in the Jan. 20 issue of the weekly newspaper Westword reads: “Welcome Stock Show Guys, Cowboy Up!! Can you last more than 8 seconds?”

Raven, 32, said she was a waitress for 10 years before turning to massage (“I give body rubdowns with mutual touching and a tension release,” she explained).

“I made $2,000 last week, and $1,200 the week before that,” she said. “Probably half was stock show.”

So take it from a ho who knows: When you’re looking to advertise your product or service, think Westword.
