Things are getting interesting over at 1111 Lincoln Street, next door to where upscale Mexican eatery Cielo just recently closed its doors. (The restaurant closed rather quietly, with no official explanation from owner Curt Sims or his management team — and no one’s answering the phones to answer questions from pesky journalists, either.)

But as of Friday, the space next to it — once known as the Starline Lounge, and more recently known as Club Ra — is once again open for business as Allure Nightclub with the return of the Friday night “Brown Suga” party. It’s all about hip-hop and R&B, but with a dressed up vibe that is strictly enforced, according to the invite from Francois, Alvin, and Kevin of 3 Deep Productions. It specifically calls for upscale, semi-formal attire. For men: collared shirts, suits, slacks. No jeans or sportswear. For women: sexy dresses and women’s executive wear. It’s 21+, but they state that “mature individuals are preferred.” Looks like they’re trying to create a truly classy hip-hop club that might avoid the problems that other similar clubs have had in the past.

DJ Style & Fashion (So What, Soul 2 Soul), and DJ Chief will serve up the beats, and valet parking and bottle service are available.
