From today’s Greeley Tribune:

Q I know this is unusual, but I’m a subscriber to the Tribune, and lately my newspapers have smelled like urine. I’d like to know why.

A You’re right — it’s an unusual question. We checked your route, and you’ve had several different carriers, which would eliminate any one carrier doing anything to your paper. Sometimes, the ink in the paper gives off an unusual smell, which could be thought of as urine. Actually, we aren’t sure if there’s an answer to your question. However, we can offer some sage advice that ties in to some similar warnings about snow: “Don’t read yellow newspapers.”

Go ahead. Make your own joke.
