U.S. Rep. Mark Udall has made no secret of his disapproval of the way President Bush has handled the war in Iraq. Today, the Colroado Democrat was named to the House Armed Services Committee:

[Udall] said he sought the appointment to focus on the war, as well as on military modernization and Colorado military installations.

Colorado Politics reports that Udall is eight days past his private deadline for deciding whether to run for Governor in 2006. There are eight days left until his public deadline.
