The middle of the week. For some, a day to simply get through in order to edge a smidge closer to that lovely lazy day, Saturday. For others, an opportunity to ramp up our nightlife endeavors until that lovely crazy day, Saturday.

Your options tonight:

  • Ante up, and help the kiddies by playing poker. Huh? Head to the Pepsi Center for Chopper’s Challenge and Casino Night, a fundraiser for Kroenke Sports Charities and the Denver Nuggets Community Fund.
  • Dance on the tables at Coyote Ugly. You don’t even have to be obnoxiously drunk to do this — it’s par for the course at this theme bar. (Obnoxious, yes, drunk no.) Jump up and join the bawdy babes slinging drinks at the bar during the Grand Opening party tonight.
  • What is… a Pink Squirrel? Speaking of slinging drinks, 5280’s very own publisher Daniel Brogan will try his hand at tending to the thirsty press hounds at the Denver Press Club tonight. He’ll guest bartend from 5-7 p.m. during the club’s first round of News Jeopardy, where media and PR folks will test their knowledge of current events.

I’ll test Dan’s knowledge of mixology (though he’s warned us to order only beers) tonight, before heading off to Forest Room Five for the private screening of Jay-Z’s “Fade to Black” documentary film. The public premiere is scheduled for Thursday night at the Mayan, so check back tomorrow for the mini review.
