Objectivity is Dead

|

I’m watching the Nuggets-Spurs game on Altitude and was floored by an ad for the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News, in which the papers declare:

You could say we bleed orange.
And blue.
Not to mention purple.
And gold.
And green.
And black, too.
It’s a real mess.
But hey, that’s sports.

Really? I thought it was journalism.

Aside from the fact, that they leave out powder blue and yellow (the team whose fans are presumably watching the ad), are we to assume from this that Denver’s dailies have, finally, dropped all pretense of objectivity — at least when it comes to their coverage of sports?
