Sen. Ken Salazar is home on his ranch, where he says he makes all his important decisions. Sunday he will announce his vote on Chief Justice nominee John Roberts.

Salazar has been troubled by Roberts’ ambiguously stated positions on womens’ and civil rights and the refusal of the White House to release allrequested documents from Roberts’ early days as White House counsel and principal deputy Solicitor General. He met with Roberts in Washington this week to try and clarify Roberts’ views.

My prediction: He will give Roberts the benefit of the doubt and vote to confirm him.
