President Bush is coming to Colorado on November 29 for a fundraiser for Rep. Marilyn Musgrave. Musgrave already has a hefty campaign chest.

Through Sept. 30, Musgrave had $713,647 remaining in her campaign fund, compared with $13,547 for Paccione, who explored the race for months and officially entered in mid-September.

Paccione says she’s ready for the David-Goliath battle she will face against Musgrave. Unless she finds her own white knight, she may not fare any better than Stan Matsunaka, who ran against Musgrave in 2004.

The Democrats have identified Rep. John Salazar as one who needs extra financial help to keep his seat. Maybe it’s time they added Paccione to their list.
