I finally made it to Corridor 44 last weekend.

I think I’m in love.

The tiny little bar on Larimer Square is named for the 44-foot corridor that stretches form the front to back, and that’s essentially the entire space. The actual bar in the front is the same vintage beauty that served Josephina’s customers for years (and surely for many decades before that in some other capacity), and scrolled across the top of the glass mirror behind the bar is Dom Perignon’s famous quote, “Come quickly, I’m drinking stars!” There are three or four half-round white leather booths and a scattering of bar stools beneath several glittering crystal chandeliers. Down the corridor toward the back is a line of two-top booths, perfect for couples. And in the rear is a gorgeous Frenchified parlor that is used for overflow seating or can be reserved for private parties and special events.

Bubbly is the drink du jour, and my Kir Royale cocktail (champagne, creme de cassis, lemon twist, $7) was beautifully presented with fresh black currents in an elegant flute. Hubby ordered a split of Chandon ($12) and the list goes on from there; there are dozens of choices by the bottle and a wide selection by the glass as well. The food menu offers gourmet nibbles; we noshed on chilled oysters and lemongrass gelato, and loved every drop.

We had to make it a quick visit — sadly, we only had time for one drink — but I’ll definitely be back.
