Country at the Cabaret?
Denver’s own Jake Schroeder of Opie Gone Bad and Jim Dalton of The Railbenders go live and unplugged in an intimate duet at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret in the historic Daniels and Fisher Tower—the first “skyscraper” to break Denver’s skyline in 1910. “Opie Gone Country” promises a fresh approach to old school country and a chance to check out a venue listed in the National, Colorado, and Denver Historic registers. Wed March 29, 7:30 p.m. Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, 1600 Arapahoe St. Tickets $10, reservations recommended. For more information or tickets, call 303-293-0075 or visit www.lanies.com.

Be in the Know
Curious Theatre cut the middleman out of gossiping when it arranged for four fascinating Denver personalities to share their secrets with the rest of us. Get the goods on Holly Kyleberg (“Socialite of the Year”—Westword), Ellen Hart Pena (world class runner and former First Lady of Denver), Mel and Janie Master (Mel’s Restaurant and Bar), and Mickey Zeppelin and Susan Wick (Denver developer and artist) in the theatre’s first annual benefit, Denver Stories. Written by the local celebs themselves, these short comedies will put you on the inside of the Mile High scene. Wed Apr. 5, 6 p.m. Curious Theatre, 1080 Acoma St. Tickets $55 per individual, $100 per couple. For more information or tickets, call 303-562-3333 or visit www.curioustheatre.org.
