It’s a scooter rally and ride. It’s a toy drive. And it’s a fun way to get into the holiday spirit this year. On Saturday at 10 a.m. Erico Motorsports is sponsoring a Scoot for Toys scooter ride to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Registration is free; just bring a new unwrapped toy to donate, and dress warmly — the ride starts in the morning at 2855 Walnut Street, and there’s no snow date in case of chilly weather. They’ll feed you coffee and bagels to warm you up before heading out, and if you’re feeling creative, they’re offering prizes for the best-dressed holiday scooter and best-dressed holiday scooter rider, plus every participant will automatically be entered in a drawing for a grand prize. After, the ride wraps up back at Erico with Bennetts Barbecue for all. So there you go. Jump on that scooter and hit the streets. Last year they drew over 100 scooters, and they’re hoping to beat that by a bundle this time around. Wanna sign up? Hit the Erico Motorsports site for the free registration.
