Filmmaker Michael Moore will be in Denver this Sunday, June 24th, for a 6:00 p.m. rally on the West steps of the Colorado State Capitol Building (200 East Colfax, Denver).

Following the rally, there will be a special screening of his new movie “SiCKO” about the dismal state of health care in the U.S. at 7:15p.m. at the Pavilions Theater on 16th Street, Denver.

Progress Now reports (via e-mail, no link:)

At the rally, Michael will talk about why the U.S. spends roughly twice as much per person on health care of any other industrialized country in the world and the need for universal health care to address the 788,000 Coloradoans and 46.6 million Americans who lack health care. (HCAC)

Progress Now will be giving away a limited number of tickets to those at the state Capitol rally “with the best signs or costumes.”

There will also be a preview screening of SiCKO at the Mayan Theater, 110 Broadway, tonight at 7 p.m. on Saturday, 23 June.
