James Dobson of Focus on the Family has been quite outspoken about his opposition to John McCain as the Republican nominee. Today, with the departure of Mitt Romney, he says he will endorse Mike Huckabee.

Is it too little too late? Huckabee insists the Republican nomination is still a two-man contest while the media has already crowned John McCain. The campaign blog at the New York Times says Huckabee’s done.

James Dobson says he won’t vote if his choice is John McCain. That ought to make Democrats happy — it’s one less vote they have to match and overcome.
