ART

What: RiNo staple Ironton Studios brings together the works of landscape painter Sharon Feder and sculptor John Ferguson for a show entitled “Passages.”
Why: Both artists have a very human way of playing with abstract forms and ideas. Feder’s paintings use layered colors to capture nature and architecture. And, Ferguson combines steel, concrete, glass, and rock into sculptures that focus on the relationship of man and nature.
Bonus: When you are in Ironton’s off-the-beaten-path neighborhood, take a quick detour to the Plinth Gallery (www.plinthgallery.com) to check out an unusual series of bold ceramic vessels.
Details: Through May 17. Mon-Fri, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sat noon-4 p.m. Ironton Studios, 3636 Chestnut Pl. For more information, call 303-297-8626 or visit www.irontonstudios.com.
