Denver may have a plethora of delis, but only a handful build a truly memorable sandwich. Enter the six-week-old Masterpiece Delicatessen in Lower Highland. Located near the pedestrian bridge, the deli may smack of yuppiness, but it does so while dishing up crazy-good eats. We tried the black truffle-egg salad–creamy, decadent egg salad touched with black truffle and served on toasted bread–and the roasted turkey sandwich stacked with pears and arugula. An excellent and addictively fresh pasta salad (mayo-free!) came alongside. We hear the braised beef brisket with red wine gastrique and the Cubano sandwich with slow-roasted pork are also tops. …Next time. 1575 Central St., 303-561-3354
