When Vesta Dipping Grill‘s longtime bartender Travis Van Cleve was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, the restaurant began planning a benefit party. If Vesta couldn’t save Van Cleve, it would at least open the bar and lay out a small-plate spread of fried rattlesnake ravioli, ostrich and bacon sliders, and green chile foie gras to soothe Van Cleve’s Southern side and raise a little money. Miraculously, Van Cleve is doing much better these days, and next week’s party, complete with a DJ, ceviche stand, and dessert table, is a celebration of his health. Monday, 7 p.m., $60. Vesta Dipping Grill, 1822 Blake St., 303-296-1970.
