Hard to argue with this:

Firstly, what the heck does [Denver Post publisher Dean] Singleton have against cows anyway?

Secondly, and more importantly, what is the largest newspaper in Colorado doing telling the DNC what they can or cannot do? Should any media conglomerate be sponsoring any convention activities whether they are Democrat or Republican or Green Party activities? Doesn’t the financial link thus formed cloud the relationship between news media and political parties?

We realize it’s a practice engaged in by all news outlets, the sponsoring of political convention activities, but we think it’s wrong.

Especially when it’s practiced by a guy who just lectured newspaper types about discarding their arrogance.
