It was a sad day when Annie’s Cafe closed the doors to its Colorado Boulevard restaurant. But when owners Peggy Anderson and Diane Williams reopened on East Colfax Avenue in the former home of Goodfriend’s, the eatery ushered in a new era.

The space is much larger (though that doesn’t necessarily translate into shorter waits on the weekends), but it manages to retain the same homey feel of the previous location. Servers are as cheery as ever, and the food is good-old Annie’s, with faves like the legendary French toast, the breakfast burrito, and the BLT still pleasing the masses.

Bonus: Two great additions include a full bar and a late-night menu.
