With the wrapping up of the Tour de France and with the Olympics in full swing, cycling is on the minds of many, which is just what Team 5280/Felt, a local junior cycling team, is banking on.

On Tuesday, August 19, Table 6 hosts an event to raise money for the team of promising cyclists ages 10 to 18. The evening includes a Champagne toast and a five-course meal paired with wines representing the regions of the Tour de France. Members of both Team 5280/Felt and Garmin-Chipotle will be in attendance.

Bonus: Bring home a piece of cycling history by placing bids on auction items such as Christian Vandevelde’s (who finished fifth overall in the Tour) autographed pink jersey from the Giro d’Italia and items from this year’s Tour de France.

The event, which is expected to sell out, is limited to 50 tickets at $500 a piece. 7 p.m., Table 6, 609 Corona St. For tickets, call 303-444-7500 or e-mail info@slipstreamsports.com.
