Colorado has quite a presence in the September issue of Bon Appetit magazine. Local chef Frank Bonanno makes a strong showing with nods to his modernized Italian cuisine at Osteria Marco and creative staff meals at Mizuna. Stellar Vail chef Kelly Liken, of her namesake restaurant Kelly Liken, is also recognized as one of the editors’ favorite female chefs. We’ve long loved Liken’s fine, seasonally focused eats, and we visit whenever possible. Recently, we’ve been impressed with Liken’s dedication to the cocktail, not to mention her glorious take on the sticky bun.
