In case you haven’t heard the buzz, the new season of Bravo’s Top Chef kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. I’m already a fanatic of the reality cooking show, but with Boulder chefs Hosea Rosenberg and Melissa Harrison among the 17 contestants this season, there are two more reasons to watch.

Interestingly enough, both Rosenberg (executive chef of Jax Fish House Boulder) and Harrison (sous chef at Centro Latin Kitchen & Refreshment Palace) are employed by Big Red F, the restaurant group that owns Jax and Centro, along with Lola, Zolo Grill, and the West End Tavern. Obviously, we’ll be rooting for the home team, hoping that one of our own wins the top prize: $100,000, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a showcase at the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, and the title of “Top Chef.” –AMF
