Peeking into Denver’s past, local architect Peter Dominick–the designer of the Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World–brings to life Denver’s eccentric, early-20th-century architect Jules Jacques Benedict, who studied at Paris’ l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts School of Architecture but lived in Littleton. Benedict built the Washington Park boathouse, the sunken gardens at City Park, and the Chief Hosa Lodge. Dominick will share Benedict’s works and anecdotes on his fiery reputation during this talk and slideshow presentation. 7 p.m. First Divine Science Church, 1400 Williams St., Free, 303-777-2242
