Focus on Wyoming

By |

Focus on the Family’s political action arm has launched a telephone lobbying campaign in Wyoming to convince lawmakers that the state should stop recognizing same-gender marriages performed in other states. That’s according to The Associated Press, which notes that the Colorado Springs evangelical organization’s efforts would add to a Wyoming law that already defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Only Massachusetts and Connecticut allow gay marriage, and other states, including California, have banned it in their constitutions, owing to the influence of groups like Focus, a Christian empire led by patriarch James Dobson, profiled in-depth in a past edition of 5280.
