The National Basketball Association is reviewing “several aspects” of Tuesday night’s Nuggets win over the Mavericks, including the interaction between Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Nuggets guard J.R. Smith, reports the Rocky Mountain News, which notes that Cuban confronted Smith at halftime, after Smith “threw an elbow” at a Mavericks player.

Now Cuban wants Smith punished.

“I was very cordial in letting Mr. Smith know (at halftime) that I will be turning it into the league, and I expected him to be suspended for it,” Cuban wrote in an e-mail to the Rocky.

On Wednesday, Smith left practice without talking to reporters, but Nuggets coach George Karl said, “There was no contact. It wasn’t even close.”
