Big heads continue to roll from the Denver Broncos, as owner Pat Bowlen’s “quest to clearly define roles in the team’s front office” continues. That’s according to the Rocky Mountain News, which reports that Bowlen has sacked vice president of football operations/personnel Jim Goodman and assistant general manager Jeff Goodman. Brian Xanders, another assistant general manager, has been promoted to general manager.

“I want the general manager reporting to me on our new staff,” Bowlen says.

Coach Mike Shanahan was fired after 14 years with the team, following a disappointing season in which the Broncos blew what seemed to be an easy run to the playoffs.
