Tracy Reese FW09 New York 02-16-09Local women will like the pairing of Reese’s flirty dresses and skirts with traditionally tailored jackets and coats. The overall look is one of ease–a nonchalant combination of exceptional wardrobe items.

The Gist: Reese is yet another designer seeking the right identity for a woman in today’s tough times. And so she balances her signature look of sweetly feminine dresses and separates with solid workday pieces.

In a collection that loosely references 1920s Paris with its silhouettes (mainly mini-dresses that came in both tiered and chemise style), Reese combines the feminine with the masculine, such as a tiered ruffle skirt with a princess sleeve wool blazer, pinstripe pants with a cropped leather jacket, and a floral print drop-waist dress with a shawl collar tuxedo jacket.
