The Denver Newspaper Agency, which until today published the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News, is sending a letter to advertisers that aims to calm their fears over tomorrow’s shutdown of the Rocky.

Several interesting points emerge from the memo (click link for pdf):

  1. The letter promises ad rates won’t change for most advertisers.
  2. Rocky Mountain News subscribers will now receive the Denver Post, apparently whether they want it or not.
  3. And perhaps most newsworthy, the memo mentions ad rates in the Sunday and Saturday editions. The Post stopped publishing a Saturday edition when the Joint Operating Agreement with the Rocky went into effect in 2001. Does this signal the return of the Saturday Post?

Update (3:52 p.m.): Post confirms Saturday edition.
