Huston Street, one of the Colorado Rockies’ new pitchers, debuted yesterday as his team fell 4-1 to the Chicago White Sox in pre-season play. Street gave up three hits and a run, according to The Associated Press, battling Manuel Corpas for the position of closing pitcher.

Street was self-critical after yesterday’s game. “I hate giving up runs. It doesn’t matter if it is February 26 or October 26.” He came to the Rockies as part of the trade in November that sent outfielder Matt Holliday to Oakland.
