Best Theater Bet: NYC’s Aquila Theatre Performs The Iliad

iliadHomer’s classic story of the gods gets a twist in this Aquila Theatre Company production. The New York City troupe, known for its daring performances, sets the epic tale during World War II, and with stylized lighting, creates a performance that critics have called both “stirring” and “stunning.” A short lecture, held one hour before the show, begins each of the three captivating performances at the Newman Center this weekend.
