Denver quarterback Jay Cutler could be traded to Tampa Bay in a multi-team deal that would bring New England quarterback Matt Cassel to the Broncos, according to The Denver Post, which quotes Cutler as feeling betrayed that new head coach Josh McDaniels, the Patriots’ former offensive coordinator, and other Broncos officials might move forward without him.

Cutler, noting some Broncos officials “were acting strange” around him, tells the Post, “I’m upset. I mean I’m really shocked at this point.” McDaniels, however, says the Broncos don’t intend to trade Cutler, adding, “He’s our quarterback.” Still, Cutler doesn’t buy it: “I’ve heard I’m still on the trading block.”
