Okay, this is all theoretical, but The Sporting News predicts that Jay Cutler’s conflict with Denver Broncos’ head coach Josh McDaniels “could have a huge impact” on the upcoming National Football League draft.

The Detroit Lions have the first overall pick and could possibly give it up if they think they can get Cutler, who is “the best available experienced young quarterback.” Or the Lions could try to draft a quarterback, such as Georgia’s Matt Stafford. The Broncos’ first pick is 12th overall, and if the Broncos don’t trade Cutler, they may take a cornerback to upgrade their defense.
