With Dining Out for Life taking place tomorrow, it’s time to flex your dining muscle and do some good. More than 250 metro-area restaurants–including hotspots such as D Bar, Fuel Cafe, and Z Cuisine–will donate 25 percent of food sales to Project Angel Heart. I dare you to dine at a participating restaurant for every meal. Consider this: Snooze for breakfast, Bang! for lunch, and, for dinner, come see me at Tambien, where I’ll be testing out my (nonexistent) waitressing skills. Or, snack for a cause at Gateaux, Liks, or Cloud 9 Frozen Custard. Bonus: On Thursday, Steve Ballas, owner of Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs, adds the Angel Dog–a frank with “wings” of bacon, a “halo” of tomatoes, “robes” of mayo, and a “cloud” of lettuce–to the permanent menu. With each $4.25 frank sold, $1 goes directly to Project Angel Heart.
