The Denver Nuggets put themselves behind the 8-ball last night after losing 103-94 in Game 5 of the National Basketball Association Western Conference Finals, falling behind the Los Angeles Lakers 3-2 in the best-of-seven series. The Nuggets will now have to win two games in a row, starting in Denver on Friday night.

The teams were even through three quarters, but the Lakers went on a 11-0 run to start the fourth quarter and never looked back, writes The Denver Post. The Los Angeles Times notes the Nuggets lost their composure at the beginning of the fourth quarter, missing their first three shots.

Nuggets fans can take the lead of Denver-based ESPN columnist Rick Reilly, who prayed to God that the team he’s supported since he was 9 wins the next two games.
