Paragon Theatre Takes on Bus Stop

By |

Paragon Theatre started its 2009 season with an offbeat and modern love comedy, but the ensemble switches genres for its next stage performance, a drama called Bus Stop. The 1955 classic from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright William Inge hinges on a group of bus travelers stranded in a Kansas diner by a winter storm. Throughout the four hours the bus riders are stuck inside the pie-and-coffee shop, Inge reflects on the American pursuit of love and happiness–and Paragon Theatre reminds us why it likes to take theatrical risks. Through June 6. Thu-Sat 7:30 p.m. Crossroads Theater, 2590 Washington St., 303-832-0929 official website, $19
