marshall-brandon3Disgruntled Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall hit the football field yesterday, but it wasn’t for the Broncos. Marshall hosted a two-day youth camp for 500 kids at Overland High School in Aurora. He and his agent mostly shied away from discussing his current contract dispute with the Broncos, but he did tell The Associated Press that change is “part of life.”

Meanwhile, Denver Post columnist Dave Krieger says the Broncos need to give Marshall the money he wants and quit spewing “propaganda” and using its fan base “to paint a player into a corner.”

The opinion comes three days after Woody Paige, Krieger’s colleague at the Post, said the only money Marshall deserves is for a one-way Greyhound bus ticket out of town, perhaps to Chicago. That probably won’t happen, though, writes The Chicago Sun-Times, which reports that Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith “harshly said ‘no’ when Brandon Marshall’s name was brought up.”
