It sounds strange, but the Colorado Rockies are on a bona fide winning streak. For the first time all year, the Rockies have won four consecutive games, including yesterday’s 7-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. Since the Rockies’ 10-3 win over the Houston Astros on June 4, the team has outscored its opponents 38-10, writes The Denver Post.

The Rockies entered the series with the second-worst record in the league, notes The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. After beating the Cardinals by a combined 28-7 over three games, they head into today’s game with a chance to sweep the birds. Nevertheless, the Rockies are still stuck in last place in the National League West with a record of 24-32, 15 games behind the league-leading Los Angeles Dodgers (via MLB.com).
