The Atlas V rocket that sent two unmanned probes hurling toward the moon yesterday was built in Jefferson County by the United Launch Alliance, a joint effort by Lockheed Martin and Boeing. “All of the people that worked on it live in the Denver community,” Mike Rein, of the Centennial-based United Launch Alliance, tells 9News. “So, it’s not just the connection.
