Have you seen the fabulous Taste of the Nation T-shirts around town yet? I’ve been wearing mine, and you can nab your own—designed by local tattoo artist extraordinaire Josh Ford—during Sunday’s event at Mile High Station. But Taste of the Nation is about much more than a rockin’ shirt (even if all proceeds go to the cause); it’s about doing your part to stamp out childhood hunger. A $75 ticket—$100 for VIP access to the 5280 Chef’s Lounge—buys you tasty samples from nearly 30 of Denver’s finest restaurants and breweries, sips of premium wine and spirits, tunes from DJ akaSurfer, and the opportunity to cheer on the mixology competition between Denver’s coolest bartenders. The chef-driven bash, which is held throughout the country, raises money for Share Our Strength, an organization that works tirelessly to feed hungry kids. There are few causes as important. Do your part, make your mark—and I’ll see you there. Purchase tickets at denvertaste.org until Saturday, or at the door on Sunday. 4 p.m.-7 p.m. (VIP Admission gets you in at 3 p.m,), Mile High Station, 2027 W. Lower Colfax Ave.
