The “It” Factor for Denver: Women who have discovered Phillip Lim as a great wardrobe resource will find many reasons to shop this designer for spring. Especially appealing are high-waisted shorts and camp shirts, a V-neck sweater over a languid shirtdress, and swingy, pleated, above-the-knee skirts and dresses.

The Gist of the Show: Sticking to a formula that works well for him, Lim’s collection highlights smart wardrobe additions.

His line moves from a bold red jacket tucked into a pair of drawstring pants into key separates, such as cropped pants with wide waistbands, several sleek trench coats and cropped military jackets, a sexy, open-backed vest, and even sequined shorts and a double-breasted coat dress. Although some of the molded-fabric looks seem slightly over-designed, a belted, satin tuxedo jacket and matching cropped pants appear downright chic.
