Peak Entertainment LLC, which took over Broomfield’s $45 million Odeum Colorado (aka Broomfield Events Center), has in recent weeks been working to improve the reputation of the venue, as well as the city, writes the Broomfield Enterprise.

Now comes the price tag for changes needed to transform the 6,000-seat Odeum from an arena primarily used for basketball and hockey to one of the best concert venues in the nation.

Peak wants to spend more than $1.13 million, and Broomfield city council members voted unanimously to cover their city’s share of the expense, which is capped at $500,000, reports Boulder’s Daily Camera. The goals are myriad, including an improvement in ambience and acoustics.
