The Bielski Brothers is one of those tales. In his nonfiction book, Peter Duffy tells the story of three brothers who led a resistance movement against the Nazis and helped save the lives of at least 1,000 Jews. The film Defiance is based on their heroic actions. Duffy’s appearance is part of this year’s JAAMM (Jewish Arts, Authors, Movies, and Music) Festival.
