Governor Ritter Rides Again

By |

It was back in early March when Governor Bill Ritter was involved in an unfortunate and highly publicized bicycle accident, fracturing six ribs and bumping his head, requiring five days of treatment and oversight in a hospital. Over the weekend, the governor finally returned to his bicycle for an intense ride—the 50-mile H.O.W.L. charity gathering Sunday in Castle Rock. Ritter was among 550 cyclists to raise money for three charities: Bicycle Colorado, the Front Rangers, and the Rise School, notes 9News.

It seemed no sweat for Ritter, who has participated in numerous cycling events around the state, including the grueling Triple Bypass, which climbs three mountain passes—more than 112 miles—in one day. See for yourself: Fox 31 has video of the governor’s return to the bike saddle.
