Jeremy Bloom is best known by most for his performance on the football field for the University of Colorado and his incredible ability as a competitive skier. And although Bloom tells Boulder’s Daily Camera his days on the slopes and the football field are “well in the rearview,” that isn’t stopping the 28-year-old from competing. The difference now is that he’s up against himself–to see just how much he can give back to Loveland, his hometown. Bloom is in the midst of planning the third year of the Jeremy Bloom Youth Football Festival, which will give roughly 400 kids one-on-one football instruction from Bloom and some of his former CU teammates. Bloom is apparently a very busy guy. Along with the youth football clinic, he’s launched an online business called Intergate.com and does color commentary for ESPN3. On top of those duties, he also runs his Wish of a Lifetime foundation, which has been helping low-income senior citizens realize lifelong dreams.
