As I drove by What’s Cooking, a cooking school and culinary shop in Lafayette, I couldn’t resist stopping in. And I’m glad I did, because among the kitchen accessories, gadgets, colorful decorations, and local food products, I discovered Robin Chocolates‘ dreamy confections.

After training in France and receiving her degree from the Ecole Chocolat Professional Chocolatier Program, Robin Autorino was encouraged by D Bar Desserts owner Keegan Gerhard to start her own business.

Now, Autorino is catering to high-end boutiques throughout the metro area, and her chocolaty confections can be found in sumptuous, ever-evolving varieties, such as Lavender, Chocolate Caramel Fleur de Sel, Port Wine Reduction (made with dark chocolate ganache and tawny port), and Caramel Pecan Turtles dusted with 23K edible gold dust.

Available throughout the metro area, including What’s Cooking, 2770 Arapahoe Road, Lafayette, 303-666-0300;

Boutique Bouquet, 300 Nickel Ctr., Broomfield, 303-466-1251;

and The Flower Nook, 470 Briggs Street, Erie, 303-828-1062
