Friday, July 30, and Saturday, July 31 | Read more

Politically outspoken and artistically inventive, American folk icon Woody Guthrie has influenced songwriters from Bob Dylan to Ani DiFranco. Local music school Swallow Hill is offering a multi-dimensional look at Guthrie this weekend, with film screenings, rare art exhibits, panel discussions, and, of course, concerts. Performers include Guthrie’s granddaughter Sarah Lee Guthrie and Jay Farrar of Son Volt.
