Lunch at Tres Jolie, a shabby-chic boutique and tea cafe in Old Town Littleton, is a delight. Order at the counter before finding a table among the cottage-style furniture, teardrop chandeliers, trinkets, and old-fashioned glass jars filled with candy. Sandwiches arrive plump with ingredients, soups and salads are inspired (hope the poblano corn chowder is available), and indulgence comes in the form of freshly baked pastries.

You can order for one, but it’s more fun to stop in for the luncheon tea: Two diners enjoy their own pots of tea but split a sandwich (try the Brie with roasted-garlic chutney or the grilled ham with cheddar, oven-roasted tomatoes, and arugula), house-made scone du jour, and a pastry. Or, skip right to the sweets with the dessert tea, which includes two pots of tea, a split scone, pastry, and chocolates.
